Landscape Design for Home Gardens

Saturday, July 19, 10am – 12pm

Come walk around the River School Sculpture Garden discussing design principles. Learn how to use plants and structural elements in the high desert environment to create beauty, food, and landscape sustainability. This two hour walk will be led by Tom Stille, landscape architect. This is a free event.

Recycled Art Making

Saturday, July 26, 1pm – 4pm

This family event is for parents and kids to create a piece of sculpture using tile, wood, rocks, plants, pots, pipe, paint, sheet metal, branches, wire, feathers, and other recycled materials supplied by the River School. Parents are expected to supervise and help the child. River School staff to provide space, supervision and tools. Fee is $10.00 per child. RSVP required by July 18th by calling 747-2222.
