About the River School
The River School is an educational and event center that demonstrates a holistic approach to sustainable living, bioregional design, and creative expression through a wide array of classes, workshops and events. We are dedicated to revitalizing the human spirit and regenerating the Earth.
Our beautiful bamboo-floor studio is the perfect space for classes and workshops. It is a space for movement, yoga, and audiovisual presentations that sits at the center of our school, gardens & greenery.
Our outdoor facilities - which include gathering spaces, stages, a lawn, and amphitheater - are ideal for concerts, shows and weddings. Our river path flows into Mayberry Park, further extending the green space of the school and serving as a bridge to the local community.
Our location on the gentle Mayberry bend of the Truckee River just outside of town is bursting with color and life through all four seasons. In all we do we strive to minimize our ecological footprint and run an environmentally sustainable business.
As the only private venue in Reno for rent on the river we welcome teachers, learners, performers, and spirited people of all ages from all walks of life.
