The River School is located ten minutes west of downtown Reno just off 4th Street on the Truckee river. We have a range of venues that may be of interest to you. Rental space varies from a conference room overlooking the river that accomodates up to fifteen and a larger dance studio room that will accomodate up to 60 peope. There are many outdoor venues for classes and special events for up to 300 plus. Our fees are modest and our spaces are beautiful.

All of our spaces are available to rent depending on availability based on the following rates:

Dancing Spirit Studio:

$25/hour or $65.00 for 3 hours
*A sliding scale has been established to help instructors develop classes and bring in new students. In this system, the River School collects either the hourly rate of $25.00, or 1/2 of the instructor’s take for the class, whichever is less for the first three months to help an instructor build up class attendance. At the end of three months, the full rate will apply regardless of class attendance.

A quarterly registration fee of $25.00 is due on each day of the solstice and equinox dates. (For instructors who have an ongoing class)

For full day: Utilizing the indoor space only rates are as follows for an 8 hour day: $200. Any time greater than 8 hours will be charged at a rate of $25 per hour.

River School Gardens:

In an effort to diversify our offerings here at the River School, we have designated our weekends be available for those wishing to offer unique courses, workshops, and events here. Weekends at the River School are not available for weekly classes, but rather we encourage weekend workshops, class series that may run for several weeks, fundraiser events, and social gatherings. Our spaces may be rented by the hour or for an entire day or weekend, based on the following rates:

The Whole Shebang

The River School can also be utilized for large events or workshops where use of both indoor and outdoor space is desired. This includes access to the Dancing Spirit Studio, River Song Studio, River School Gardens, The Dome and Fire Circle Area. The pricing will vary depending on the scope of space needed and the nature of the event. Please call us for a quote.

Cleaning/Security Deposit:

The River School will collect a refundable $100 deposit for rentals that span for 6 or more hours. This is to assure that facilities are cleaned and restored to their initial condition and serves as a security deposit in the event of a cancellation. Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the event in order for the security deposit to be returned.

Insurance:
For liability reasons, all River School instructors are required to have insurance for the courses that they teach. The River School can recommend a few agents familiar with providing this kind of insurance. Please contact us for more info.
